I'm not sure if this answers your question, but if you go from C up to F then the interval is a perfect fourth. If you go from C down to F it's a perfect fifth. The note names are the same, but the distance is different.

hth,
Knut

Ooops, you're right, the German file is older than the English one. I've attached a zip containing the language files. Would you like to have a look?

Thanks. BTW, you've earned your First Class status...

Future:: New Bee. Love the Site Though????
Hi, glad you like the site!

You can start anywhere. Try out level 1-2 of all the tests and make sure you understand what the question is... If you're not sure then go somewhere like Wikipedia to check the terminology out.

When you're sure you know what the test is asking for you can start working your way up through the levels. Your goal should be to have a hiscore of at least 8 before advancing to the next level (we're not just guessing, right?)

One five-minute session every day is more valuable than a three-hour session once a week.

If you're having problems with the new stuff at level 5 then it may help to repeat some lower levels (even if you've already got a full hiscore), to remind your ears what the old stuff sounds like.

Uh, long answer short: Start at the bottom. There are 1000 points to be earned at levels 1-2. When you have those the rest is just hard work...

HTH
Knut

It would be really great if this site included more areas of ear training.

Have you read the FAQ? It's not complete, but you may find some clues there.

Or you could try this forum. What's the question?

General:: can't record
Your score is sent to the server after you've completed a test, and things should work AFAIK. Are you aware that you have to have to answer 10 times per test?

There are 25 test types. Each test type has 10 levels of difficulty. On each level you have to answer 10 times before your score is sent to the server, and if your score is better than your previous alltime or weekly hiscore on that level, you should see it in the records.

HTH

Future:: Make Earplane more Linux friendly...
Hi Vittoria,

I have tried to get Linux users to check if this site will work with the crossover plugin by CodeWeavers (www.codeweavers.com), but nobody have answered so far. I'd really appreciate if you could check it out, could you? Unfortunately the plugin costs, but maybe there's some kind of alternative, I don't know.
